NBL among the most traded shares; 63.68% trading of Commercial Banks

NEPSE faced plunge of 10.93 points or 1.13 percent to settle at 955.66 level today.

Opening at 966.38 level this afternoon, the local bourse dipped down by double digits of 14.24 points till mid-trading hour amid the increase in the selling trend by the investors who wanted to book there profit viewing the surge in NEPSE index from past few days.

However the benchmark index was able to move up from that point to 955.66 level and there after remained around that level throughout the day.

Total turnover of the day stood at Rs 263.51 million whereas trading of only Commercial bank was more than 63 percent of the total turnover.

Similarly 9 out of top ten companies by turnover were commercial banks which amounted 45.5 percent of the total turnover. Trading of NBL alone was 12.73 percent of total turnover.

Altogether 604,656 unit shares of 119 scrips were traded through 1,927 transactions worth Rs 263.51 million.

Each sub-index landed in red today. Banking (848.95), HydroPower (2185.88) and Insurance (3929.26) plunged huge by 10.71 points (1.25%), 28.01 points (1.27%) and 55.08 points (1.38%) respectively.

Trading (222.48) and Hotels (1860.72) dipped by 3.97 points (1.75%) and 27.73 points (1.47%) respectively.

Development (787.35) and Finance (524.47) dropped by 6.75 points (0.85%) and 1.1 point (0.21%) respectively.

Manufacturing and Others plunged by 1.63 and 7.05 points to settle at 1553.36 and 723.70 level respectively.

Share Price of companies like INDBL, PRDBL, CDBL, ICFC and KMBL dropped by more than 5 percent today.

Whereas Share price of SLBBL, NCM and BPCL moved up by more than 6 percent as of today.
Bonus shares of ICFC Finance is now listed in NEPSE for trading.
