Nationwide SEE Exams Commenced Across Nepal: Over 5 Lakh Students Participate
The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) for the 2082/2083 academic session officially commenced across Nepal today. The first day of the high stakes examination began at 8:00 AM with students appearing for the Compulsory English subject at 1,965 designated centers spanning all 77 districts.
According to the National Examination Board (NEB), a total of 512,421 students from 11,379 schools are registered for this year's exams. The candidate pool shows a positive trend in educational access, with 257,613 female students and 254,801 male students participating. To ensure the exams are conducted in a peaceful and disciplined environment, the government has mobilized approximately 73,500 personnel, including over 12,500 security officers and 1,965 center chiefs.
A major focus of this year's examination is the "Fast-Track Results" initiative. Education Minister Sasmita Pokharel has instructed the board to decentralize the answer sheet evaluation process, allowing papers to be checked within their respective regions. This strategy aims to publish the final results within just one month of the exam's conclusion. Authorities have expressed satisfaction with the smooth start of the first day and have urged students to continue their exams with confidence and integrity
