Nabil Bank Marks Fifth Sustainable Banking Anniversary with Tree Plantation Drive
Nabil Bank concluded its week-long Nabil Green Week 2026 with a tree plantation program on Sunday, marking the fifth anniversary of its sustainable banking initiative.
As part of the campaign, the bank planted 200 avocado saplings at Gale Park in Ward No. 2 of Tokha in collaboration with Lumbini World Peace Forum Nepal and the local ward office, which will oversee their maintenance.

Speaking at the event, the bank's CEO Manoj Kumar Gyawali said the plantation drive reflects the bank's commitment to sustainable banking and environmental conservation. He noted that over the past five years, Nabil has invested Rs. 51.83 arba in renewable energy, Rs. 54.28 arba in agriculture, Rs. 45.77 arba in MSMEs, and Rs. 48.60 arba in women and women-led enterprises, contributing to the creation of more than 112,000 jobs.
The bank also said its digitalization efforts have saved more than 20 metric tons of paper, while investments in renewable energy projects have helped reduce approximately 39,451 tons of carbon emissions over the past four years. Nabil currently serves more than 2.5 million customers through 266 branches and 318 ATMs nationwide.
