MG Cyber X: Compact, Stylish, and Budget-Friendly EV SUV Set for Global Launch

MG Motor is preparing to launch the MG Cyber X, a compact, family-friendly electric SUV, within the next two years. First showcased as a bold concept at the Shanghai Auto Show, the production-ready model will feature a boxy, angular design inspired by premium SUVs like the Mercedes EQB and positioned as the “spiritual successor” to the Suzuki Jimny.

The Cyber X will include a modern minimalist interior with a large central touchscreen, a full digital instrument cluster, and ample cabin space. It is expected to use MG’s advanced semi-solid-state battery technology, offering an estimated range of around 482 km, with most variants in front-wheel drive and higher trims offering all-wheel drive. MG plans to price it under £30,000 globally, targeting urban users seeking practicality, style, and advanced EV technology in a budget-friendly package.
