Janata Bank Q3 earnings shoot through the roof; profit surges 191.03% to 13.46 crore

Janata Bank Nepal Limited (JBNL) has reported a huge profit rise of 191.03% for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2071/72.

According to the unaudited quarterly report for the third quarter published today, the commercial bank has amassed a net profit of Rs 13.46 crore in the third quarter, a huge growth from Rs 4.62 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous year 2070/71.

In the third quarter Janata’s net interest income has risen to Rs 47.02 crore, up from Rs 38.56 crore in the corresponding quarter.

It also mobilized Rs 21.54 arba in deposits and disbursed Rs 18.84 arba in loans as compared to Rs 16.41 arba in deposits and Rs 14.34 arba in loans in the corresponding quarter last year.

The bank brought down its non-performing loans to 1.09% from 1.39% in corresponding quarter of previous year.

Its CD ratio stands at 78.28%. Its EPS stands at Rs 8.71 and its net worth per share is priced at Rs 113.68.
