IPO Proposals of These Three Companies Are in SEBON's Pipeline

Initial Public Offering (IPO) of three companies have been added to SEBON’s IPO pipeline for approval.

1,609,458 unit shares of Dolti Power Company Ltd (for Local and General Public); 5,488,000 unit shares of Sagarmatha Jalbidhyut Company Ltd, and 1,921,568 unit shares of Mai Khola Hydropower Ltd. have been added to the IPO pipeline.

For the IPO of Dolti Power Company Ltd, pre-approval from Electricity Regulatory Commission has been submitted on 2079/05/12. Likewise, Nic Asia Capital Ltd. has been appointed as the issue manager for the IPO issuance.

For the other two hydropower companies, Sagarmatha Jalbidhyut and Mai Khola Hydropower, Prabhu Capital Ltd. has been appointed as the issue manager for the IPO issuance.

About the Companies:

Dolti Power Company Limited (DCPL), incorporated on April 7, 2013, as a private limited company, was converted into a public limited company on July 15, 2021. DPCL operates a 4.5-MW Padam Khola run-of-river (R-o-R) HPP, in Dailekh district of Karnali province of Nepal.

Sagarmatha Jalbidhyut Company Ltd (SJCPL) was established in November 2015 in Kathmandu. SJCPL together with its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities has an installed gross generation capacity of over 18 MW. The company is expected to serve the power needs of more than 1000 households in collaboration with NEA.

Mai Khola Hydropower Ltd is a private company established on the year of 2073 B.S. The first (pilot) project of Mai Khola Hydropower Ltd. is Super-Mai Cascade Hydropower Project (3 Mw), which is going to be commenced in very near future. It is designed to take water by tapping water from Super Mai Hydropower Project (7.8 MW) Tailrace Canal, generate 18.30 GWh of energy.

About approximately 2 km long 11 kV transmission line will transmit the produced power from powerhouse to Super Mai Hydropower Project Switchyard and to Godak Sub-station through 132 kV transmission line combining with Super Mai Hydropower and Panchakanya Mai.
