Insurance Companies Receive Over Rs. 23.22 Billion in Damage Claims from Gen Z Protests

Insurance companies have received damage claims exceeding Rs. 23.22 billion for losses incurred during the recent Gen Z protests, according to the Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA).
As of Wednesday, non-life insurers had registered a total of 3,099 insurance claims, covering data from 14 non-life insurance companies and four micro non-life insurers.
So far, insurers have settled claims worth Rs. 1.29 billion, while the remaining cases are under assessment. To evaluate the damages, companies have deployed 2,706 surveyors, of which 374 have already submitted their reports to the concerned insurers.
