Industry Minister Gauri Kumari Yadav Hands Resignation to PM Balen Shah

Nepal’s Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Gauri Kumari Yadav, has resigned from her position. Her press advisor, Kamal Chaulagain, confirmed that she handed her resignation letter directly to Prime Minister Balen Shah.

The decision follows strong backlash over remarks she made during a parliamentary committee meeting yesterday, where she sharply criticized cooking gas plant owners and suggested tough measures against them. Business owners strongly objected to her statements and formally raised the issue with the Prime Minister, leading to her step down.
