Gold Price Drops While Silver Rises in Domestic Market

The fine gold market has recently witnessed a notable decline, with prices dropping by Rs. 300 per tola.
As per the latest update from the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), fine gold is currently valued at Rs. 197,200 per tola, down from the earlier rate of Rs. 197,500 per tola.
Likewise, Tejabi gold has also seen a reduction, now priced at Rs. 196,500 per tola, reflecting a fall of Rs. 300 compared to the previous Rs. 1,96,800 per tola.
This adjustment follows a recent surge on August 8, 2025, when fine gold reached a record high of Rs. 199,400 per tola.
In contrast, silver has witnessed a rise of Rs. 5 per tola, now trading at NPR 2,355 per tola.
