The prices of petroleum products in Nepal have been adjusted, with mixed changes across different kind of fuels.

According to the Nepal Oil Corporation, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs. 2 per liter, while diesel and kerosene prices have been decreased by Rs. 12 per liter. Under the new rates, petrol is priced at Rs. 214.50 per liter and diesel/kerosene at Rs. 222.50 per liter in first-category areas.

However, the price of cooking gas (LPG) has increased significantly. The price of LPG has been raised by Rs. 150 per cylinder, bringing the new price to Rs. 2,160 per cylinder (14.2 kg) and Rs. 1080 per half full cylinder (7.1 kg)

Similarly, aviation fuel prices have also been increased. Domestic aviation fuel has gone up by Rs. 7 per liter, while for international flights (in Kathmandu), the price has been increased by USD 46 per kiloliter.

The NOC cited the ongoing conflict in West Asia as the primary driver for the adjustment, noting that the tension has caused a continuous surge in international oil prices and making price more vulnerable. The corporation projected a staggering loss of Rs 1.81 billion over the next 15 days with this price revision.
