Fonepay Integrates CityPAY Wallet, Expanding Nepal’s Digital Payment Network

Fonepay, Nepal’s leading payment system operator, has welcomed CityPAY as the 10th digital wallet in its ecosystem, enabling users to access Fonepay’s interoperable QR network across 1.7 million merchant outlets. This partnership strengthens financial inclusion and promotes cashless transactions nationwide. Both CEOs emphasized the integration’s role in empowering individuals and businesses with secure, instant, and convenient digital payments.

To celebrate, CityPAY launched a festive campaign from September 2 to November 2, 2025, offering lucky draws with Samsung TVs and reward points for transactions above NPR 500. The collaboration highlights the importance of partnerships in building a robust digital payment ecosystem as Nepal advances toward a cashless economy.
