Finance Minister Khanal Addresses US Business Dialogue, Meets IMF Deputy Managing Director

Finance Minister Rameshore Prasad Khanal, who is currently in the United States to attend the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), addressed the Business Dialogue organized by the US Chamber of Commerce on Monday.
Speaking at the event titled “From the Himalayas to the Heartland: Strengthening US-Nepal Partnership,” Minister Khanal highlighted Nepal’s commitment to fostering stronger economic and investment ties with the United States. The dialogue was attended by Nepal’s Ambassador to the USA, Lok Darshan Regmi, officials from the Embassy of Nepal, and members of the US Chamber of Commerce.
On the same day, Minister Khanal held a meeting with Bo Li, Deputy Managing Director of the IMF, where discussions centered on enhancing economic cooperation between Nepal and the IMF.
Also present during the meeting were Dr. Bishwanath Paudel, Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), officials from the Nepal Embassy, representatives from the IMF, and other dignitaries. Minister Khanal had arrived in Washington, D.C., on Sunday to participate in the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the IMF.
