Chirag Goyal Takes Charge As Director At Excel Development Bank

Renowned entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist Chirag Goyal has been elected to the Board of Directors of Excel Development Bank Limited during the bank’s 20th Annual General Meeting.

A native of Budhabare, Jhapa, Goyal brings extensive experience across manufacturing, trade, banking and finance, insurance, real estate, mining, renewable energy, agriculture, hospitality and construction through his association with the Goyal Group.

Beyond business, Goyal has been actively involved in social and humanitarian initiatives for more than a decade, contributing to earthquake response, food relief, education, healthcare, disaster management, flood relief, and COVID-19 response through organizations including Helping Hands Nepal and Robin Hood Army Nepal.

Goyal has also played a prominent role in youth leadership and entrepreneurship. He served as President of the Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF), Kathmandu, from 2021 to 2023 and is a Co-Founder of the Nepal Center for Political Leadership (NCPL). His appointment is expected to bring additional business expertise and strengthen governance and long-term value creation at Excel Development Bank.
