Century expands

In order to extend its services to its customers, Century Commercial Bank (CCB) opened its 10th branchless banking service at Lamidanda VDC-9 of Khotang on Wednesday. The bank has its other branchless banking services at Kerabari (Morang), Tribhuvanbasti (Kanchanpur), Dingla (Bhojpur), Chaumala (Dhangadi), Garuda (Rautahat), Baasgadi (Bardiya) and Bayarban (Morang). As per a press statement, until April 13, the bank made an operating profit of Rs 209.1 million, with total deposits of Rs 23.42 billion and total loans of Rs 20.70 billion.
Century Bank, which started its journey from its head office in
Putalisadak as the 31st commercial bank of Nepal, now has spread its network with 31 branches, 25 ATM centres, 10 branchless banking services and one extension counter across the nation.
Kathmandu Beer
KATHMANDU: Himalayan Brewery is promoting its ‘Kathmandu Premium Lager Beer’ with a new recipe consisting of 100 per cent two row malt, German hops and Danish yeast. “Water is a primary ingredient of a good beer. We use pristine mineral rich spring water of Godavari, resulting in its superior taste,” reads a press statement issued by the company on Wednesday. Kathmandu Beer comes in a brand new attractive label, bottle and packaging, which makes it a premium lager beer. Kathmandu Beer is also available in draught and delivered in kegs.
Prabhu’s support
KATHMANDU: Relief support for earthquake victims received from various international non-governmental organisations at Help Age International has been distributed to the affected people in various districts with support from Prabhu Bank and Prabhu Money Transfer. Relief materials were distributed in Jharuwarasi, Bungamati, Dalchowki and Lamatar VDCs of Lalitpur district; Baseshwor VDC of Sindhuli; Namtar and Nibuwatar VDCs of Makawanpur; Thumi and Manchu VDCs of Gorkha; Helambu, Kuhil, Ichowk Talmarang, Bhimtar, Nawalpur and Mahankal VDCs of Sindhupalchowk; Sunkhani and Jafe VDCs of Dolakha; and Ratmate, Gerkhu and Gorsang VDCs of Nuwakot from June 2 to 6. Per person cash amounting to Rs 7,500 for altogether 6,100 senior citizens (one member per household), was handed over to the respective VDCs, as per a press statement issued on Wednesday. Till date Rs 45.7 million in cash support has been distributed.
