Cabinet Approves PM Balen Shah’s UN General Assembly Visit; Decision of Today's Cabinet Meeting
The government has approved Prime Minister Balen Shah led Nepali delegation’s visit to attend the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York from 6 to 10. The decision was announced by Education Minister Sasmita Pokharel following today’s Cabinet meeting.
The Cabinet also approved drafting a bill to control unfair lending, including meter beyaj practices, and approved a list of 17,438 poor households across 27 local levels in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Saptari and Dang. It also appointed Dr. Hariprasad Lamsal as chairperson of the Teacher Service Commission, with Ram Sharan Sapkota and Bishnu Ghimire (Rimal) as members.
In administrative decisions, Binod Bahadur Kunwar and Uttar Kumar Khatri were promoted to secretary and appointed as chief secretaries of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, respectively.
