The Bagmati Province Government is preparing to provide industry administration services through an online system across all 13 districts of the province.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has already started providing services such as industry registration, renewal and ownership transfer through an online system at the Industry and Commerce Office in Makwanpur. According to Ministry spokesperson Kumar Tamang, the service will be expanded to all 13 districts in the fiscal year 2083/84.

The ministry has already designated the Industry and Commerce Offices in Chitwan, Kavrepalanchok, Ramechhap and Sindhuli as model offices. A budget has also been allocated with the goal of developing all 13 district offices as model offices during the upcoming fiscal year.

The ministry has also prepared standards for managing model offices to improve the delivery of industry-related services.

As of the end of Ashadh in fiscal year 2082/83, around 4,956 industries and 2,550 commercial firms had been registered under the ministry in Bagmati Province.

The ministry also stated that regular and surprise market inspections are being continued to control black marketing and artificial shortages in the market.
