Araniko Development, Clean Energy Development post staggering Q3 profit

Araniko Development Bank Limited has reported a profit rise of 118.62 % in the third quarter of the current fiscal year 2071/72.

According to the unaudited quarterly report for the third quarter today, the development bank has stated that it earned a net profit of Rs 2.21 crore in the third quarter, up from Rs 1.01 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year 2070/71.

In the third quarter, the bank’s net interest income has risen to Rs 5.92 crore, up from Rs 3.67 crore in the corresponding quarter.

It also mobilized Rs 1.22 arba in deposits and Rs 1.23 arba in loans as compared to Rs 84.55 crore in deposits and Rs 58.52 crore in loans reported in the corresponding quarter last year.

The development bank had trimmed down its non-performing loan to 3.06 % in the Q3 of 2071/72 from 6.29 % in the corresponding quarter of previous year. Its CD ratio stands at 78.48%.

Its EPS (annualized) now stands at Rs 13.22 and its net worth per share is priced at Rs 139.59.

Meanwhile, Clean Energy Development Bank Limited has posted 117.43% growth in net profit for the third quarter of the current fiscal year 2071/72.

Publishing the unaudited financial report for the third quarter today, the bank stated that its net profit rose to Rs 13.71 crore, up from Rs 6.30 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal year 2070/71.

The bank has mobilized deposits of Rs 8.48 arba in the 3rd quarter compared to Rs 8.75 arba in the corresponding quarter last year. Likewise, it extended loans of Rs 7.71 arba, up from Rs 7.32 arba.

Clean Energy’s net interest income has slightly risen from Rs 23.37 crore in the corresponding quarter last year to Rs 28.09 crore in the third quarter of 2071/72.

It posted an operating profit of Rs 12.59 crore.

The bank has managed to lower its NPL from 3.99% in the third quarter of the last fiscal to 1.90% this year.

Its EPS (annualized) now stands at Rs 14.51, net worth per share at Rs 121.20, and CD ratio at 78.47%.
