Price of Live Broiler Chickens Drops to Rs 60 per kg in Three Weeks
In three weeks, the price of live broiler chickens has decreased to Rs 60 per kg.
According to the National Poultry Sales Entrepreneurs' Association, the selling price of chicken, which started to decrease from last Ashad 25, has declined from 310 rupees to 250 rupees.
The association has fixed the price of live chicken at Rs 250 per kg with the latest reduction of Rs 10 per kg, which became effective from Thursday.
Earlier, on Tuesday, the price of chicken meat had already seen a reduction of Rs 10, reaching Rs 260 per kg.
Attributing the decrease to high production, the association expects that the price of prepared chicken meat will also follow suit and decrease along with the sale price of live chicken. Currently, ready chicken meat is being sold in the market for up to 380 rupees.
