17th Handicraft Expo continues with much footfalls; handicraft association felicitates 10 senior artists having four decade plus experience in Nepalese handicraft

Nepal Handicraft Association has conducted promotional events for Nepalese handicrafts at Tourist centers of Thamel and Patan on Mangsir 13, 2076.

Similarly, the association has also felicitated 10 senior artists and sculpturers who have so far provided a tremendous contribution to the field of Nepalese handicraft. The association has felicitated 84 years old Mr. Badri Krishna Shilpakar from Lalitpur, 83 years old Mr. Nhuchegat Prajapati from Bhaktapur, 82 years old Mr. Premkrishna Tamrakar from Lalitpur, 79 years old Mr. Maila Shakya from Lalitpur, 78 years old Mr. Hem Ratna Bajracharya from Lalitpur, 76 years old Mr. Kancha Shakya from Lalitpur, 76 years old Ms. Nhuchenani Shakya from Lalitpur, 76 years old Mr. Hira Ratna Shakya, 74 years old Mr. Purna Biswokarma Sthapit from Lalitpur, and 73 years old Mr. Ratna Bahadur Bajracharya from Kathmandu.

All these 10 individuals have made more than 4 decades of contribution for Nepalese Handicraft sector in different fields of works. The 17th handicraft expo currently being exhibited at Bhrikutimandap was attended by several high profile individuals like NCP leaders Mr. Amrit Bohora, Ms. Astalaxmi Shakya, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Nepal among many others, as per the media statement.
