The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining 30.76 points (1.03%) to settle at 3,002.07. This follows a 2.07-point loss in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,976, touching an intraday high of 3,028.79, while the lowest point was 2,976.00. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 18.52 Arba, with 41,808,966 shares traded across 321 companies through 157,525 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 50.09 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 17.02 Kharba.
Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 64.41 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,524.00.
Muktinath Krishi Company Limited (MKCL), Trade Tower Limited (TTL), and Sanvi Energy Limited (SANVI) led the gainer's list with a 10.00% gain each.
Meanwhile, Samata Gharelu Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMATA) recorded the steepest drop, falling 8.60%.
Among sectors, the Others Index registered the highest gain, gaining 2.58%, while the Development Bank Index saw the highest loss at 0.36%.
