NEPSE index surged 4.22 points or 0.43 percent this week to close at 983.49 level than the last week closing of 979.27.
Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float also gained 1.14 and 0.53 points respectively to stand at 208.62 and 68.67 levels respectively.
The benchmark index witnessed meager plunge of 3.6 points on Sunday (March 1) recording closing level of 975.67.
However the local bourse climbed up by 9.18 points on the next trading day by closing at 984.85 level.
Thereafter NEPSE slipped down by 3.43 points and went up by 2.07 points on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
The low of this week was of 975.67 level where as high of the week was 984.85 level on Sunday and Monday respectively.
Among the sub-indices, Banking gained 8.32 points or 0.98 percent to close at 856.68 level than last week.
Similarly Development (825.65) and Finance (540.1) went up by 5.9 points and 5.89 points respectively.
HydroPower (2244.99) and Insurance (4324.45) managed to add 5.1 points and 5.72 points respectively to there last week closing.
On the contrary Hotels (2069.26) and Others (747.19) plunged by double digit of 34.01 and 12.92 points respectively than last week.
Manufacturing shed meager 0.94 points to close at 1441.18 level while trading closed at 196.93 level.
NEPSE remained close on Thursday on the occasion of Holi and will also remain closed on Sunday March 6, 2015 on the Occasion of Women’s Day.
The total turnover of this week amounted Rs 922.26 million where 2,673,635 unit shares were traded through 7,023 transactions.
The average turnover of this week stood at Rs 230.55 million.
