Weekly Wrap-Up (Review Period April 12 to April 16, 2015)

NEPSE gained 3.03 points or 0.32 percent to close at 949.92 level compared to last week closing of 946.86.

NEPSE Sensitive and Float also gained 1.13 and 0.11 points to settle at 203.01 and 66.89 level respectively.

The local bourse started this week with gain of 5.14 points to settle at 952.03 level.

However the benchmark dropped by 3.67 and 4.23 points on Monday and Thursday to settle at 948.36 and 944.13 level.

Finally NEPSE gained 5.97 points on the last trading day of the week to close at 949.92 level.

NEPSE remained closed on Tuesday on the occasion of New Year (Baisakh 1) in the country.

Among the sub-indices, Banking gained 4.32 points or 0.52 percent than last week to close at 836.59 level.

Similarly Finance (532.18) and Manufacturing (1502.88) surged by 0.17 and 8.1 points respectively.

Development (793.62) and Insurance (3928.31) plunged by 6.02 and 24.65 points respectively than last week.

Hotels (1966.3) and HydroPower (2181.77) dipped by 19.12 and 9.37 points respectively than last week.

Others gained by 18.8 points than last week to close at 722.53 level.

Altogether 1,922,061 unit shares were traded through 5,636 transactions worth total of Rs 722.504 million.

The average turnover this week stood at Rs 180.62 million.
