Turnover more than Rs.90 Crore, almost 3 million units of shares traded, more than 11 thousand transactions processed, 9.32 points gained: NEPSE today

The market today was in the green zone for most part of the day, reaching a high of 1198 points. The benchmark index gained 0.79% or 9.32 points and closed at 1191.68 points. The turnover today was of massive Rs.90.69 Crore achieved from trade of 2,951,478 units of shares traded through 11,360 transactions trading scrips of 170 listed companies in the process.
The trade today was dominated by commercial banks. NIC Asia Bank (NICA) posted the highest turnover at Rs.7.63 Crore with its LTP standing at Rs.466 per share. Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank (NCCB) was the most traded stock as 174,255 units of shares exchanged hands today. The LTP of the commercial bank stands at Rs.227 per share.
Summit Microfinance Development Bank (SMFDB) was today’s top gainer as it gained 9.84% or 60 points and closed at Rs.670 per share. Radhi Bidyut Company (RADHI) was today’s top loser as it lost 4.57% or 8 points and closed at Rs.167 per share.
Sensitive Index gained 2.02 points and closed at 255 points while Float Index gained 0.67 points and closed at 87.37 points.
Hotels and Others were the only sub-indices in the red zone after losing 0.32% and 0.36% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices gained points with Non-Life Insurance gaining the most at 2.88% or 153.70 points.
