Turnover crosses Rs 200 million; NEPSE loses 2.75 points

NEPSE Index plunged third day in a row this week. The Benchmark Index closed at 953.84 level recording drop of 2.75 points or 0.29 percent.
Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float also dipped by 0.53 and 0.22 points to close at 203.12 and 66.96 level respectively.
Opening at 956.81 level this afternoon, the local bourse faced down trend through the day to touch the intraday low of 951.39 level and thereafter with meager recovery closed at 953.84 level.
Among the sub-indices, Banking dropped by 1.04 point or 0.13 percent to settle at 828.15 level.
Similarly Development (801.76) and Insurance (4024.38) plunged by 3.14 and 27.31 points respectively.
HydroPower (2182.63) and Hotels (1990.70) went down by 26.68 Points and 17.36 points respectively.
Manufacturing loosed 3.26 points to close at 1468.49 level whereas Others (760.11) and Finance (538.21) gained 1.17 and 0.1 points respectively.
Altogether 620,055 unit shares of 129 companies were traded through 1,225 transactions worth Rs 213.19 million.
Shares of PRVU, CHCL and SANIMA were traded maximum today.
SHBL, NLICP, JEFL were among the top gainers of the day whereas MBBL, PURBL, KRBL stood among the top losers of the day.
