Turnover amounts Rs 54.46 crore, meager 0.59 point drop in NEPSE index

NEPSE index dropped meager 0.59 points or 0.05 percent to close at 1077.19 level.

Similarly Sensitive and Float slipped by 0.13 and 0.05 points respectively.

Among the sub-indices, Banking, Development and Finance plunged by 1.76, 6.99 and 1.39 points respectively.

Hotels, Hydro, Insurance and Manufacturing gained 3.75, 17.98, 11.84 and 22.78 points respectively.

Opening at 1077.77 level this afternoon the local bourse came down to 1069 level till the 1st trading hour and thereafter started recovering to finally minimize its loss to meager 0.59 points at closing.

Altogether more than 10 lakh unit shares of 138 companies were traded through 4024 transactions. Total turnover of the day stood at Rs 54.46 crore.

Maximum trading were done of commercial bank’s shares like NICA, MBL, EBL, HBL, SBI, NBB and SBL.

Among the gainers side, maximum shares were of Insurance and Development companies like SIL, WDBL, SICL, EDBL, UIC and KCDBL.

However share price of METRO, PRDBL, SIFL, GLICL and NABB plunged maximum today.
