Turnover amounts only Rs 33 crore; NEPSE slips meager 0.34 point

NEPSE index plunged down meager 0.34 point or 0.03 percent to close at 1181.41 level.

Opening at 1181 level this after the benchmark index fell down to 1167.81 level within the 40 minutes of trading due to fall in share price of commercial banks shares.

However increase in the buying investors seeing the lower price of shares led the NEPSE index surge up and recover its intraday loss to meager 0.34 point.

The total turnover of the day stood at Rs 33.12 crore where more than 7 lakh unit shares of 128 companies were traded thru 2084 transactions.

Development and Others were only among the sub-indices to land in green recording surge of 3.49 and 24.66 points respectively.

Commercial banks’ shares like PRVU, NBB, GBIME, CZBIL, HBL, EBL and BOK were mostly traded today.

However maximum development banks like TNBL, TBBL, PRDBL, KDBL, MBBL and SADBL were on the gainers side.

Whereas shares like UFIL, RLFL, FMDBL, UFL and METRO were among the top losers of the day.

Among the sub-indices, Banking, Hotels, HydroPower, Finance and Insurance landed in red.
