thee GO and Gham Power have signed a strategic term sheet to jointly develop a Solar-Powered Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at thee GO’s ChargePoint in Itahari.

The project aims to combine solar power generation with advanced battery storage technology to provide cleaner and more reliable energy for electric vehicle (EV) charging.

The system will store surplus solar energy generated during the day and supply electricity during peak demand or low solar generation periods, reducing dependence on the national grid.

The initiative is expected to improve charging reliability, optimize energy use, reduce carbon emissions, and serve as a model for future renewable-powered EV charging stations across Nepal.

Both companies said the partnership supports Nepal’s transition toward clean energy and sustainable electric mobility. thee GO operates a nationwide EV charging network, while Gham Power brings expertise in solar and energy storage solutions.
