Terhathum Power Company Limited to Invest in North Summit Hydro Project

Terhathum Power Company Limited has decided to invest in the under construction 21.4 MW Nyadi Phidi Hydropower Project being developed by North Summit Hydro Limited.

The decision was made during 67th Board of Directors meeting held on Wednesday in line with the provisions of its Articles of Association and the approval granted by its 8th Annual General Meeting. Under the decision, the company will invest surplus funds by purchasing 100,000 shares of North Summit Hydro at a face value of Rs. 100 per share, amounting to a total investment of Rs. 1 crores.

The board stated that the investment decision was based on an assessment of the project's satisfactory construction progress, relatively favorable budget outlook, and commercial viability. The 21.4 MW Nyadi Phidi Hydropower Project, located in Bahundanda and Bhulbhule of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality, Lamjung, is targeted to commence commercial electricity generation by November 2027.
