Technical faults restricts the market to reach its full potential; NEPSE gains minimum 0.94 points with turnover below Rs.10 Crore

Since the technical issue occurred at NEPSE couldn’t be resolved today, the market data wasn’t updated since 12:41 and the concerned authorities had decided to close the market on the last data of that time.

The market today gained 0.94 points or 0.08% and closed at 1128.71 points. Today’s turnover was worth Rs.9.38 Crore which was achieved from trade of 322,242 units of shares traded through 1,734 transactions trading scrips of 140 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) posted the highest turnover today of Rs.1.23 Crore. The LTP of the life insurance company stands at Rs.1120 per share. Scrips of Upper Tamakoshi (UPPER) were exchanged the most today. A total of 44,375 units of shares were traded today. The LTP of the hydropower company stands at Rs.230 per share.

Sanima Mai Hydropower (SHPC) was today’s top gainer after it gained 4.02% or 9 points and closed at Rs.233 per share. Tinau Development Bank (TNBL) was today’s top loser after it lost 5.48% or 9 points and closed at Rs.155 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 0.40 points and closed at 240.11 points while Float Index gained 0.10 points and closed at 82.19 points.

Banking, Hotels, Development Banks and Life insurance were the only sectors in the green zone as they gained 0.14%, 0.32%, 0.04% and 0.59% respectively. The rest of the sub-indices lost points with Manufacturing and Processing losing the most at 0.27%.
