Swabhimaan Laghubitta Decides Not To Distribute Dividends of FY 2081/82

Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has decided to cancel its previously proposed 10% dividend for the fiscal year 2081/82, citing regulatory and technical adjustments required to strengthen its financial statements.

Earlier, the 114th Board of meeting held on Falgun 15, 2082 had proposed distributing a total dividend of 10%, including 9.50 percent bonus shares and 0.50 percent cash dividend, subject to approval from the Nepal Rastra Bank and endorsement by the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

However, the 117th Board meeting held on Jestha 8, 2083 decided to revise the earlier proposal and not distribute any bonus shares or cash dividends for the fiscal year due to mandatory adjustments in regulatory and financial indicators.

The board and management have apologized to shareholders, investors, and stakeholders for the disappointment and inconvenience caused by the cancellation of the proposed bonus shares. The institution has urged stakeholders to view the decision positively, stating that the move was necessary for the company’s long-term financial stability and sustainability.
