Sun Nepal Life CEO Raj Kumar Aryal Resumes Regular Duties After CIB Clearance

Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company CEO Raj Kumar Aryal has resumed his regular duties from today after being cleared by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police following a four-month-long investigation.

Aryal had been arrested by the CIB on Chaitra 16 in connection with a complaint alleging irregularities in the allocation of shares reserved for employees under the company’s initial public offering (IPO). He was released on Chaitra 22, but did not return to the office during the investigation period, stating that he would remain away from his duties until the investigation was completed.

According to the company, the CIB investigation found no wrongdoing or irregularities involving Aryal. Following the clearance from the investigating authority, he has now returned to his previous responsibilities as CEO.

During Aryal’s absence, Kabi Phuyal had been serving as the acting CEO of the company.

The CIB had investigated allegations of irregularities in the distribution of IPO shares allocated to employees of Sun Nepal Life. However, the investigation reportedly did not establish any wrongdoing, leading to Aryal’s clearance and his subsequent return to regular duties.
