Special Court Grants Rs. 200,000 Bail to Suspended Nepal Telecom MD Sangita Pahadi

The Special Court in Kathmandu on Tuesday granted bail of Rs. 200,000 to suspended Managing Director of Nepal Telecom, Sangita Pahadi. The court’s decision followed the completion of her statement and detention hearing.

A joint bench comprising Judges Tej Narayan Singh Rai, Ram Bahadur Thapa, and Bidur Koirala issued the order. Pahadi had been charged in a corruption case filed by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on June 8.

The case involves alleged irregularities in the "Billing System Upgrade" project. Alongside Pahadi, 17 others have also been named in the charges.
