Sixteen major metro stations across New Delhi have been temporarily shut down until further notice following ongoing demonstrations organized by the Cockroach Janata Party (Kakaroch Janata Party) at Jantar Mantar.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) confirmed that the decision to suspend operations at these locations was taken as a precautionary safety measure to handle public movement and maintain security in the city.

To help minimize travel disruption for daily commuters, the transit authority noted that interchange facilities allowing passengers to switch between different metro lines will remain fully operational at three major hub stations.
