Shrestha Takes Over Nepal Chamber Leadership, Promises to Push Government for Investment Protection

The newly elected committee of Nepal's Chamber of Commerce and Industry took charge today. Anjan Shrestha assumed leadership of the organization as president, following the organization's rules that the senior vice president automatically becomes president.

After taking office, Shrestha said he would work closely with the government to create an environment that boosts confidence in the private sector. He particularly emphasized that the private sector wants a guarantee of investment security from the new government.

The outgoing president, Chandraprasad Dhakal, handed over the position to Shrestha during a brief ceremony held at the Chamber today. Along with President Shrestha, other newly elected officials also assumed their positions.

The handover ceremony was attended by various business leaders and representatives from the private sector. The event marked the official transition of leadership in one of Nepal's most important business organizations, which represents the interests of industry and commerce across the country.
