Shangrila Development Bank Supports Free Cataract Surgeries for Nine in Darchula

Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Shangrila Development Bank Limited (SADBL) supported free cataract surgeries for nine patients from Darchula at Geta Eye Hospital in Dadeldhura.

The beneficiaries were identified during free eye camps held at Darchula District Hospital and Dunhu Rural Municipality in Baishakh 2083.

Although 11 patients were referred for surgery, only nine underwent the procedure due to health-related issues affecting the remaining two.

During the eye camps, more than 700 people received free eye check-ups, while 487 were provided with spectacles and 600 received free medicines. The bank currently serves customers through 109 branches and 30 ATMs across Nepal and reaffirmed its commitment to expanding quality banking services while continuing impactful CSR initiatives.
