Shangrila Development Bank Provides Insurance Payout for Minor’s Savings Account After Guardian’s Death
Shangrila Development Bank Limited (SADBL) has transferred an insurance payout to the family of a minor account holder, Shristi Tripathi, after the accidental death of her guardian, Sagar Tripathi. The bank’s Talchowk branch manager, Rajib Paudel, handed over a check of Rs. 300,000 to Shristi and her mother, Shila Tripathi.
The amount has been deposited in a fixed-term account and will be accessible to Shristi upon turning 18. SADBL has a policy to provide Rs. 300,000 insurance for minors’ accounts in the event of a guardian’s death. Operating across 109 branches and 30 ATMs, the bank continues to uphold strong governance, risk management, and internal controls while expanding its services nationwide.
