Sadhana Laghubitta commences operations in Gorkha district

Sadhana Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has formally started operations in Haramtari, Ward no. 6, Gorkha District. Mr. Ramji Regmi, director at Nepal Rastra Bank, inaugurated the program.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Regmi said “In order to provide the access of financial services in the rural areas of Nepal, the financial institutes are required to work in these areas by taking into consideration the vision of these institutes. The major goal of these financial institutes is to act as a bridge between the general public and banking institutions”. Regmi also highlighted that such institutions play a vital role for the economic development of rural areas, so the institutions should keep on contributing in terms of employment generation, enhancement of tourism sector and overall uplifting of quality of life in such areas.
Mr. Rajendra Prasad Poudel, Chief Executive Officer of Shangri-La Development Bank said, “The microfinance company will be helpful for the deprived sectors in order to increase financial literacy.”
In order to eliminate poverty, it is important to open microfinance institutions in rural areas and requested microfinances to work in the remote areas of the country, added the statement.
