Lawmakers from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) again chanted slogans in the House of Representatives on Friday, demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak over the visit visa controversy.

Despite repeated calls from Speaker Devraj Ghimire to maintain order and allow the session to proceed, opposition members continued their protest, disrupting proceedings.

Speaker Ghimire had earlier requested RSP Chief Whip Santosh Pariyar not to disturb the direct question-answer session with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. However, the RSP has stated it will continue its protest, indicating that the PM’s session is likely to be impacted.

Chief Whips of the ruling CPN-UML and Nepali Congress also appealed to the RSP to allow the session to move forward without obstruction.
