RSP Leader Balen Shah Set to Be Sworn in as Prime Minister on March 27
Senior leader Balendra Shah (Balen) of the Rastriya Swatantra Party is set to be sworn in as Nepal’s next Prime Minister on March 27, following the completion of parliamentary formalities.
The date was finalized during a high-level party meeting on Thursday evening attended by party chair Rabi Lamichhane, co-chairperson DP Aryal, and Dr Swarnim Wagle. The leaders agreed to proceed with the oath-taking after the swearing-in of newly elected lawmakers.
Earlier the same day, the Federal Parliament Secretariat announced that members of the House of Representatives will take their oath on March 26 at 2:00 PM. The formation of the new government is expected to follow immediately, with the Prime Minister’s oath scheduled for the next day.
