Rotaract Club of Butwal Down Town Hands Over Chilled, Purified Water System to Pashupati Secondary School
The Rotaract Club of Butwal Down Town has installed and handed over a chilled and purified water distribution system at Pashupati Secondary School in Kotihawa, Tilottama Municipality, Rupandehi, under its first District Grant (DG 2025/26-213) through the Happy School Project.
The project aims to provide students with access to safe, purified, chilled, and sufficient drinking water during school hours. As part of the initiative, two water distribution units with capacities of 120 liters and 80 liters were installed at the school, benefiting both students and teachers.
Speaking at the handover ceremony on Sunday, District Rotaract Representative (DRR) of Rotaract District 3292 Nepal-Bhutan, Dinesh Gaire, said that small community based initiatives can create meaningful and lasting impacts. He also praised the club for its contribution to the education and health sectors.
Club President Abishkar Khanal stressed the importance of proper use and maintenance of the system, expressing confidence that the project would help improve students’ health and learning environment. School Principal Bed Narayan Bhattarai thanked the club and acknowledged the continued support of social organizations and donors in the school’s educational and infrastructure development.
