Reconstruction accelerates after Feb 24: PM Oli

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the reconstruction campaign would accelerate from coming February 24. Talking to media persons after inspecting the Dhurmus-Suntali integrated settlement at Panchkhal Municipality-16 of Kavrepalanchowk on Saturday, PM Oli said giving priority to the most devastated and the most needy area, the government would initiate reconstruction drive from remote VDCs. According to him, the reconstruction would be carried out in three phases. It will begin before rainy season. "There is not any obstruction on reconstruction, even the law has been made and the Reconstruction Authority formed. So, the rebuilding drive accelerates now," he stressed. On a different note, the PM said the agreement has reached final stage to clear obstructions on demarcation of federal borders. He also said he would embark on India visit soon. On the occasion, artistes duo Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus) and Kunjana Ghimire (Suntali) informed the PM about the settlement reconstruction. The locals demanded the PM that the land where the settlement is raised be handed to Pahari community. The land now belongs to a guthi. There are 18 houses with different facilities in the settlement. On Saturday itself, PM Oli attended two separate programmes organized by the party, and by the Kathmandu University. RSS
