Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited has launched an online system for mortgage collateral freeze and release services, aligning with the Government of Nepal’s goal of results-based, faceless, and time-bound digital governance. The system aims to make public services faster, more transparent, and more predictable for citizens by digitizing traditionally manual banking processes.

The bank has already processed over 800 collateral freeze and release cases through the new system. This initiative was implemented following an agreement between the Department of Land Management and Records and Rastriya Banijya Bank to enable digital handling of land-related banking services.

The online system is expected to reduce processing time and costs while improving transparency, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. With a nationwide network of 315 branches across all 77 districts, the bank continues to provide modern banking services including loans, deposits, ATM, and mobile banking, while advancing Nepal’s digital banking transformation.
