Rabi Lamichhane and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio Hold Phone Talks

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane held a telephone conversation with United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday. During the call, Rubio expressed condolences to those who lost their lives in the Bhotekoshi flood and conveyed solidarity with the people and government of Nepal, according to the RSP.

Lamichhane said the RSP was making every possible effort to support the ongoing search, rescue and relief operations being carried out by the Nepal government. He also assured Rubio that Nepal remains committed to ensuring the safety and protection of foreign nationals affected by the recent floods. Lamichhane thanked the US government for its support during the difficult situation, while Rubio said the United States was ready to provide further assistance to the Nepal government.
