The newly formed Province 5 share investors' forum has issued a press release consisting suggestions for SEBON to be included in the policies of new fiscal year. The chairman of forum is Kamal Tiwari.

The press release mentions, "The 5 workstations of brokers (branches) established in Butwal has helped the investors in that area. This has changed the trend of secondary market being concentrated in Kathmandu valley only. Likewise, the reach of primary market via ASBA and C-ASBA is also appreciable.

However the problems of investors outside the valley hasn't been able to reach the concerned authority conveniently. The main reason for this is that lack of a unified organization that will voice the issues of investors located in geographically diversified areas. Thus, for that reason we have formed "Province 5 share investors forum" from the investors of Province 5.

The primary goal of the organization will be to take the issues of investors of Province 5 and take it to the concerned authority for redressal. Similarly, the forum will work towards to expanding the stock market's reach in this province with special focus on stock market education.

The country has moved on to federalized system, and in such situation the centralization of all licensed brokers in capital city is not sufficient. So, broker license should be opened in regional level by specifying requirements and qualifications.

The central bank has given green flag to commercial banks to provide broker services via subsidiary company. So concerned authority should move ahead with it and bring it to implementation."
