Prime Minister’s Relief Fund Balance Reaches Nearly Rs. 15 Billion

The balance in the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund and Prime Minister’s Relief Fund has reached nearly Rs. 15 billion as financial support continues to be collected for those affected by the flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the funds currently have a total balance of Rs. 14.88 billion. The government has already released Rs. 1 billion from the fund to support flood affected areas.

Of the total balance, Rs. 11.14 billion is deposited in nine commercial banks. In addition, USD 24.47 million is held in dollar accounts at Himalayan Bank and Laxmi Sunrise Bank.
