Pokharel conferred with ‘Asia Honesty Award 2015’

CEO of Sushmit International Sushil Pokharel has been awarded with the Asia Honesty Award 2015 amidst a special ceremony held in Kula Lumpur last week. According to a press statement, Asia Excellence Entrepreneur Federation establishes the award to recognize a successful individual who is an outstanding an honest entrepreneur, holding up the operation concept of honesty and integrity to customers, employees, and shareholders.
“The award was given away to Pokharel for his achievements, which has inspired the hundreds of SME entrepreneurs throughout the region. The organizers recognized his exemplary ethical practices in business and a key role in encouraging young entrepreneurs in Nepal,” said the statement. The objective of the award is to encourage young people towards right way in contributing in society through business.
According to the statement, speaking at the award ceremony Pokharel said, “ I have never thought I will be at this stage when I started my first enterprise with few thousands of rupees.” He further said, “All I want to say to aspiring entrepreneurs is that you do not need an elite background to come into business. You can always start small and honesty, creativity and courage can take you where you want to be”. Pokharel is involved in different business segments including broadcast solution, ICT, tourism and hydro power.
