PM Oli Inaugurates Rs. 442 Million Road Project in Damak; Announces Stadium Construction

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today inaugurated the upgraded Madandangi–Tarabari–Dipu road in Damak Municipality, Jhapa, a project recognized as one of the 17 pride projects of the municipality with World Bank support. The 4.86-kilometer road, built at a cost of Rs. 442 million, has been completed on schedule and is being hailed as a model infrastructure initiative.
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Oli described the road as a reflection of the government’s commitment to timely and quality development from Mechi to Mahakali. He also announced plans to construct a stadium in Beldangi, Damak.
Highlighting recent educational reforms, the Prime Minister stated that SEE results improved by 13% this year due to the introduction of free online classes on key subjects under a volunteer-led initiative. Responding to criticism regarding his recent foreign visit, Oli dismissed allegations of negligence, calling them baseless.
The event was attended by Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal, Koshi Province Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki, former Chief Ministers Sherdhan Rai and Uddhav Thapa, among others.
