PIC, LGIL & NLG gains above 9 percent; NEPSE down by 16.25 points

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange plunged by double digit of 16.25points or 1.35 percent to close at 1184.67 level.
Opening above 1200 level this afternoon, the local bourse dipped down to 1173 level by more than 27 points amid due to increase in the selling investors who wanted to book profit.
However NEPSE index managed to minimize its loss to 16.25 points till closing.
The total turnover has shrunk to Rs 58.31 crore where more than 16 lakh unit shares were traded of 141 scrips.
Insurance was the only sun-index to land in green today.
Banking and Others plunged by double digit of 19.73 and 29.37 points respectively.
Hotels sector plunged huge by 51.55 points or 2.45 percent to close at 2056.25 level.
Development and Finance dropped by meager 3 and 2.07 points respectively.
Maximum trading were done of commercial banks like PRVU, GBIME, SCB, CZBIL, NBB, NABIL and EBL.
Shares of Prabhu Bank alone were traded of more than Rs 5.3 crore.
Price of Insurance company’s shares like PIC, LGIL and NLG surged more than 9 percent. KMCDB, APEX, LDLC, SLICL, SDBL and NCDB were among the top gainers of the day.
