The meeting of the Legislature-Parliament scheduled for today has been postponed. The meeting was postponed due to the obstruction of the lawmakers of the main opposition party Nepali Congress and protesting United Democratic Madhesi Front. The lawmakers of these parties obstructed the proceedings of parliament today demanding time for expressing their views. NC lawmakers had created a noise soon after Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar provided time to Federal Socialist Forum chair Upendra Yadav at first. The NC lawmakers created hullabaloo urging that they should have been provided time before lawmaker Yadav. They claimed that they should have had the time stating that the Madhesi parties would obstruct the meeting soon after lawmaker Yadav expressed his views. Speaker Gharti urged all the lawmakers to take their respective seats citing that the time was provided to lawmaker Yadav as per the parliament rules. The meeting was postponed as the lawmakers denied taking their respective seats. The next meeting of the parliament has been scheduled at 11:00 am on December 1. RSS
