Palpa Cement and Shikhar Power Make Strong Stock Market Debut at Maximum Prices

Two companies began trading their shares for the first time on Friday, April 10, 2026. Palpa Cement Industries sold its first shares at 300 rupees each, while Shikhar Power Development sold its first shares at 284 rupees and 30 paisa each. Both companies were added to the stock exchange on Thursday, and now anyone can buy and sell their shares during regular trading hours.

Palpa Cement has a total of 3.75 crore shares available for trading. Out of these, 7.5 lakh shares were sold to the public, while the remaining shares belong to the company founders. Similarly, Shikhar Power has 98 lakh shares in total, with 32 lakh shares sold to the public and the rest owned by the promoters.

The stock exchange had set a price range for the first day of trading to prevent extreme price changes. For Palpa Cement, shares could be sold between 100 to 300 rupees, while for Shikhar Power, the range was set between 94.78 to 284.34 rupees. Both companies started trading at the highest price allowed on their first day, showing strong investor interest in these new market entries.
